ROTA iEARN-Qatar Coordinators

Reach Out To Asia (ROTA) is the official iEARN representative in Qatar. As a ROTA staff member, the ROTA iEARN-Qatar coordinators are the official representative and focal point for iEARN in Qatar and their main roles and responsibilities are:

Officially represent iEARN-Qatar
Provide an annual report about the iEARN-Qatar activities to the iEARN Executive Council
Manage teachers registration and accounts on the www.iearn.org website
Introduce and promote iEARN to educational institutions in Qatar
Coordinate and organize various events like the Open House, workshops, trainings, etc.
Deliver, support and assess trainings provided for Teachers, iEARN-Qatar Facilitators and iEARN-Qatar Trainers
Support and advise the iEARN-Qatar Community during projects and various activities around iEARN-Qatar

iEARN-Qatar Trainers

iEARN-Qatar Trainers are teacher who have experience in iEARN and have completed and facilitated iEARN projects. The trainers have also attended and successfully completed a workshop providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge allowing them to provide training to new teachers that are willing to join the iEARN-Qatar community and participate into iEARN Projects.

The main roles and responsibilities of an iEARN-Qatar Trainer are:

Introduce and train other teacher to iEARN projects
Facilitate or complete at least one iEARN project per school year
Support iEARN-Qatar and ROTA in the development of iEARN in Qatar
Liaise directly and collaborate with the ROTA iEARN-Qatar Coordinator

iEARN-Qatar Facilitators

The Facilitators role is to support and guide teachers working on online iEARN collaborative projects throughout all the phases of the projects. iEARN projects are taking place every semester for a duration of 10 to 14 weeks. A Facilitator will be supporting a group of 4 to 8 teachers working on an iEARN project that is related to his/ her field of teaching. Facilitators are supported and advised on their work and tasks by the ROTA iEARN Coordinators and iEARN-Qatar Trainers.
